These words are said when you are stressing out or in a state of agony and someone wants to calm you down. However for me the effect is quite the opposite. I don’t really benefit from knowing that everyone as to go through the same I just feel bad for them.
There are no advantages in knowing that your problem is common…you still have to go through it and knowing that your neighbour went through the same just means that you will survive.
But I’m curious if it is the same for you. Is it? Everyone that says this to me I tend to answer in a bad mood and then I explain why and they just think that I’m crazy and move on to the next “everyone goes through that” victim.
Am I crazy? No, I’m different.
